To Create a Section in an Existing Section Plane

The Create Section function enables you to create a cross section or a parallel section from previously defined section planes.
  1. Select Create Section from the 2D Extraction ribbon.
  2. Select a Section Plane in the drawing.
  3. Select a Profile value in the Section Properties dialog.
  4. Enter a Name value in the Section Properties dialog.
  5. Define the Angle for the section name in the dialog.
  6. Select the Cursor Position to change the insertion point for the section name.
  7. Enter the Coordinates for the section name, or pick a point in the drawing.
  8. Repeat step 5-7 for additional details or tables.
